More about
us...page 3
I had
started training with professional handler, Teresa Marley-Eggleton,
traveling and
learning tons!
She specialized in Sporting and Terriers. Teresa was
also an accountant
and was therefore a perfectionist!
I learned how to pack a van better than the
guys at the airport can load a plane! I also
learned how to show,
take care of and
train almost any breed.
In
2002 I was in a car accident that changed my life and the way we do
things at the shows. For
more on the accident,
please go to Service Dog and read about it and the remarkable thing that happened to Tommy and I.
Late
in 2003 I started traveling with Kellie Miller, a professional hander.
We made a pretty good
team.
She love to drive and would do so until her arms would almost
fall off! I'd spell her
for an hour, and she'd be ready
to go again! At the show we would work
it out that she would
do all the set up, I would be pottying dogs. I would help
show the
little dogs and the bigger
dogs that were Very Good in the ring. I found I had no strength in my
left arm, so
we were
very careful to make sure of the safety of the dogs we showed. Someone
would hold the
dog and I would
take it in, if Kellie couldn't make the ring. We would
use my van, ex-pens and
sometimes my crates, creating a
partnership that worked out for both of
us. As of March
1, 2005, Kellie has moved to Washington State, to be closer
to her main
client, who wishes
to see his dog more often than once in six months!
I will miss her and
wish her Good Luck!
